Ever wish you could pause a competitive game when suffering latency issues? Players might be able to in CDL soon!

Gaming saw a huge rise in players in 2020 due to so many being stuck at one.

Unfortunately, the Call of Duty league seemed to suffer when it came to moving the league online.

One of the major issues with it was issues related to connection and latency.

Many players experienced being kicked out of games due to connectivity problems.

That could all be about to change as one huge feature could finally be introduced and save the future of online competition in Black Ops Cold War.

Scump Reveals Pause Feature

A prime example of the above scenario was during the CDL World Championships.

One of OpTic Gaming's members was booted from the game, leaving the team a man down.

Unfortunately one of the league rules states that a game cannot restart unless under certain circumstances.

These being that there would need to be less than 150 points on the scoreboard and the sides were within a 50 point loss, meaning the 4v5 game had to continue.

Fans and players were pretty furious about this as it has happened multiple times previously too.

There have been many instances that a team would have succeeded had it not been for this issue.

It may not be a problem for long as there could be a pause feature on its way.

This makes it possible for the referees to momentarily stop the game if a player is experiencing problems.

Recently Scump, a well-known COD player, revealed in a stream that "apparently they are working on a pause feature as well, so, hopefully the pause feature is good".

You can watch the clip below.

Nothing has been confirmed by Treyarch or even the CDL itself.

We think this is a must in most gaming leagues, fingers crossed it comes to CDL!
