Smite Season 8: Release Date, New Gods, Conquest Map and More

Find out everything we know about Season 8 in Smite so far!

Design Director A.J. Walker has been pretty vocal on his Twitter account about future plans for Smite.

He's given a vague roadmap for the game from the present until later into 2021.

In his multiple threads, he mentions that the dev team have experienced difficulties during working from home.

This has resulted in no sixth god coming to the game this year.

“We have seen a lot of success in these tough times, but it’s taken a toll on us too,” he wrote.

“At the start of the year we had aimed for an additional god launch beyond what was revealed at last HRX. That was too ambitious given all that’s happened in 2020.”

It's unfortunate but let's look forward with positivity and see what could be coming to Smite in Season 8!

Season 8 Release Date

Currently, there is no confirmed date for Season 8 in Smite.

Although we know for sure it will be in 2021 and not this year due to some of the tweets made by Walker, mentioned above.

New Gods

Apparently, February next year players have something extremely exciting to look forward to.

There's a promise of a “highly anticipated god” to make its way to the game!

As well as that apparently in Season 8, we will see six new gods joining the roster!

Fans are already talking about the new gods in this Reddit thread.

Some of the most popular picks among players for new gods seem to be Maui and Jade Emporer.

Conquest Map

We should see a new Conquest map to make its way to Smite in January.

Some players have suggested a few different themes including:

  • Japanese
  • Norse
  • Roman

These are just a few examples by the community, as of right now we don't know what it will be!

There's not a lot confirmed on Season 8 right now but as we find out more, we'll keep you updated here.
