Phasmophobia: All Ghost Types And Evidence Explained

Got a fear of ghosts? You might want to be aware of these different ghost types then...

Phasmophobia is the newest hit game to come to steam.

Its name literally means a fear of ghosts.

The co-op has been making waves due to its popularity on Twitch and Youtube.

Up to four players take on the take as ghost hunters to find and identify spirits.

We're going to run you through every kind of ghost type and the evidence needed for each!

Phasmophobia Ghost Types & Evidence

There are 12 ghosts in total in the game.

Each type has its own traits, weaknesses and strengths.

If the player can find out what they are, they can then identify ghost types.

By doing so they will be paid for the contract.

Here is a list of all ghost kinds and what evidence is needed.

Spirit

Spirits are the most common type of ghost.

They usually appear due to an unexplained death.

Shade

Shades are known to be shy and look for players who are alone.

Due to this, it's best to stay as a group.

Poltergeist

The Poltergeist can move objects about the room.

Meaning this ghost can become dangerous if you're surrounded by a lot of objects.

ALthough will be pretty much useless in an empty room.

Jinn

The Jinn will attack when threatened.

It can move at high speed but this can be prevented by turning off the locations power source.

Mare 

The Mare is strongest when in the dark.

If you turn on all the lights its less likely to attack but it tends to turn them off or trip the breaker box.

Phantom

The Phantom is one of the slowest of the ghosts.

It can impact on players sanity greatly while being viewed directly.

Taking a picture of it will cause it to disappear.

Wraith

The Wraith can fly and is considered on the most dangerous ghost types.

It can move through walls.

Salt will prevent the Wraith from attacking as it's toxic for it.

Banshee

The Banshee sets its sights on one player at a time.

Using the Crucifix will negatively impact the Banshee.

Revenant

The Revenant moves fastest while hunting.

It will be slowed down if players are hiding from it.

Yurei

Yurei drops the player's insanity faster than any other.

Using Smudge Sticks will stop it from moving out of it's room.

Oni

The Oni moves fastest when nearby players.

This can make them really dangerous but can also make it easier when finding and identifying them.

Demon

The Demon is one of the worst ghost types in Phasmophobia.

It's extremely violent and the crucifix is recommended to be used when searching for it.
