The ultimate guide for the Krig 6 in Black Ops Cold War

The opening weekend of the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War beta is in full swing.

After the huge success of the alpha, the beta build of the game comes with a range of new features, weapons, maps, game modes and so much more.

One of the new weapons available is the Krig 6 assault rifle. Armed with a moderate rate of fire and low levels of recoil, this particular rifle can be one of the strongest with the right attachments selected.

The Krig 6 is based on the Swedish Ak 5 assault rifle which was designed in 1982. It is still used by a number of military forces today.

Thanks to the Gunsmith, there are a wide variety of attachments that can be added onto the Krig 6 to make it arguably one of the strongest weapons in the game. But what exactly is the ultimate Krig 6 loadout?

Krig 6 Assault Rifle

There are several styles of play that work extremely well with the Krig 6.

The combination of moderate damage and fire rate means it can be effective at close-range, and thanks to its ease of control and lack of recoil, it can be lethal even at the longest of distances.

Because of its sheer versatility, it is very easy to top the scoreboard with this weapon in your hands!

Krig 6 Best Attachments

  • Muzzle Brake 5.56 (Muzzle)
  • 16.5” Takedown (Barrel)
  • Field Agent Grip (Underbarrel)
  • Quickdraw Handle (Handle)
  • Wire Stock (Stock)

This combination of attachments suits all styles of play.

The addition of the muzzle brake and the field agent grip reduces recoil to non-existent levels, the quickdraw handle increases aim down sight speed, allowing you to react quickly, and the wire stock ups the sprint out speed by 15% which allows you to quickly react to a target if they suddenly appear in your vision.

Is the Krig 6 the best assault rifle in the game?

Secondary

Gallo SA12

  • Duckbill Choke (Muzzle)
  • 24.6” Ranger (Barrel)
  • SWAT 5mw Laser Sight (Body)
  • 9 Rd Tube (Magazine)
  • Duster Stock (Stock)

This semi-automatic shotgun is the perfect accompaniment to this Krig 6 loadout.

Armed with attachments to increase damage range, hipfire accuracy and sliding speed, it’s ideal to use in close-quarters scenarios where the Krig may not be able to contend.

Lethal

  • Semtex

The Semtex is a deadly piece of equipment thanks to the ability to stick it to any surface on the map. Use it to clear out an objective or the balcony overlooking the outdoor area of Miami where there is always a sniper picking off your comrades with ease.

Tactical

  • Stun Grenade

It’s very hard to go wrong with selecting a stun grenade as your tactical equipment. Use it to halt the progress of enemies rushing towards your position and disorient their vision, making them easy pickings for either your primary or secondary weapon.

Field Upgrade

  • Field Mic

Field mics are one of the most useful field upgrades to be using on Black Ops Cold War. Place it in a congested area of the map to reveal the exact location of any opponents in its vicinity.

Perks

  • Tactical Mask
  • Assassin
  • Ghost

Tactical mask increases your resistance to stun and flash grenades, which is extremely handy if you plan on playing with plenty of aggression.

Assassin enables you to see enemies that are on a scorestreak. Look out for the crosshair on your mini-map, take them down, and receive an additional score bonus, enabling you to earn your scorestreaks quicker.

It’s hard to choose anything other than Ghost as the third perk. It conceals your location from any enemy Spy Planes when moving, making navigating the map a lot easier knowing the entire enemy team cannot see your position.

Wildcard

  • Danger Close

Further increase your damage output with two additional pieces of lethal and tactical equipment.

Two well-timed throws of the Semtex could easily result in plenty of additional kills and an extra stun grenade could well be the difference between you continuing your rampage, or sending you to the killcam!
