Get your VR headsets on, there's a new free to play shooter in town.

Developer Skonec Entertainment previously hosted an open beta for its new F2P multiplayer Mortal Blitz: Combat Evolved in August.

Since then it has launched on the 8th of October.

It's now available to play on PlayStation VR.

Mortal Blitz: Combat Arena

Originally Mortal Blitz came to PlayStation VR in 2017.

Now the devs have taken the game a step further with its sequel, Mortal Blitz: Combat Arena.

The game is currently free to play, but this could change, so grab it while you can.

It will be receiving seasonal updates.

These updates will include new PvP maps, weapons and modes.

Although the PvP mode is free there are packs available for purchase that unlock new content.

There are currently multiple DLC packs and bundles available:

  • Mortal Blitz: Combat Arena - Standard Edition
  • Mortal Blitz: Combat Arena - Deluxe Edition
  • Mortal Blitz: Combat Arena - 2 Arena Packs
  • Mortal Blitz: Combat Arena - 10+1 Arena Packs
  • Mortal Blitz: Combat Arena - 25+3 Arena Packs

The game actually takes place in, you might've guessed it, arenas.

Around the map are hexagonal platforms which will allow players to teleport between them.

When going to a new platform a light barrier will appear which prevents incoming fire.

Other can destroy this using their weapons.

As with many shooters, there is a variety of weapons from pistols to rock launchers.
