Animal Crossing New Horizons Update 1.5.1 Patch Notes Released Today

James Wright
9 October 2020

Another (Pumpkin) Patch.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons has released a new update overnight, bringing with it some key fixes to the game following the launch of the Halloween Event earlier this month.

The Halloween update was version 1.5.0 for the game but with these latest changes, the game has been updated to 1.5.1.

One of the main fixes surrounds a bug which was causing issues to players in-game passports, thankfully though, it's been fixed.

But aside from the above, and a smattering of other smaller issues, these are the only changes introduced with the games new update.

Anyone hoping for any grand changes will, unfortunately, be disappointed.

But we should see something in a few weeks times. Halloween will be done come November 1st and we know there's a Thanksgiving update on the horizon, so we could see something change in the next few weeks when we assume update 1.6.0 is released.

For the time being, here are the full patch notes, courtesy of the official Nintendo support page:

General updates:

The following issues occurring in Ver. 1.5.1 have been fixed:

  • Fixed an issue where some title keywords obtained via Nook Miles would not appear within the Passport.
  • Fixed an issue where certain messages would display in English for users playing in French, Spanish, German, Italian, Dutch, or Russian.
  • Fixed an issue where animal residents would talk about pumpkins when given a bamboo shoot.
  • Fixed an issue where it was no longer possible to jump over a river based on the location of certain furniture.
