ARK Genesis 2: Expansion Release Date Delayed

Genesis 2 is delayed just as its prequel...

ARK Survival Evolved has had a steady flow of content released since release.

The most recent Community Crunch blog post mentions a potential release date.

Sadly, it might not be the news you were wanting to hear.

Genesis 2 Release Date Delayed

Both Crystal Isles and TLC 3 seem to still be releasing on time but it looks like Genesis Part 2 is being pushed back to next year.

Due to the complications that COVID-19 has caused for many game developers, the team has had to delay the expansion.

It was originally set to release later this year.

Now the release date should be some time in March 2021 for all platforms.

"We understand that you are eager to get into it, and this news is disappointing; however, we are passionate about delivering something genuinely special, memorable and suitably epic. This additional time allows us to ensure a better and unique experience and is well worth the investment," the blog post reads.

There is good news however!

Wildcard has acknowledged how desperate players were for the expansion and so have announced a first-look at the DLC will happen this winter.

Fans are pretty familiar with delays, the original Genesis itself was delayed.

For now, we can only be patient and hope that Part 2 will be everything we had hoped.

If we hear anything else about the release date for Genesis Part 2 we'll keep you updated!
