The Black Ops Cold War beta will kick off this weekend, and Treyarch has added a long-requested feature on all platforms.
In a new blog post, the devs revealed that a FOV Slider (that's Field of View) is coming to console for the first time.
Here's why that's important.
Black Ops Cold War: How To Change FOV
In the blog post, the devs said:
"We’re extremely excited to bring the Field of View (FOV) slider feature to all platforms for the first time in a Black Ops game, and you’ll be able to try it out during the Beta."
"This is another way we’re optimizing Black Ops Cold War for a globally connected, cross-play experience, and the team is dedicated to providing the best performance possible for this feature across all platforms at launch. Give it a shot this weekend and see which setting feels right for you."

You'll find the setting under the Display part of the game's menu, and will be able to adjust how much your character (and by extension, you) can see.
It's a great way of bringing console players in line with PC, particularly with the focus on cross-play.
In many ways, there is no best setting because it'll have to do with your screen of choice and personal preference, but the beta will be a great chance to try it out for yourself.
We would recommend something between 90-110; this has been a popular spot for PC players during Modern Warfare/Warzone.
If you're jumping in this weekend, the developers have promised a big step up from the Alpha.
You can read our impressions of the Alpha here.
In other news, Modern Warfare Season 6 is here, although it's still a sizeable download.
Black Ops: Cold War featured heavily in the PS5 showcase we saw last month, but there may be some things that you missed.
We also know that the game's version of Warzone will still be set in Verdansk.
Then there's the seemingly inevitable Modern Warfare Season 7, which we've rounded up all the latest news for here.
