Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered Leaks - Releases November 6 On PS4 And Nintendo Switch

Coming in hot.

On Friday evening EA started teasing some sort of Need for Speed reveal coming this week, using the license plate of an old Nissan 350Z to hint at something coming on 5 October.

True to form, it does look like a big announcement is coming today, as we now know Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered is real and coming to consoles very soon.

The downside for EA is that before they had the chance to release the news themselves, it leaked over in Japan.

As per Twitter user @Renka_schedule fans of the series have been greeted to a massive info dump of intel.

Based on the available information released so far, this is what we know about this new remaster:

The game is releasing on PS4 and Nintendo Switch tomorrow, 6th November 2020. There's no word on Xbox One consoles just yet, but we imagine it will come to the Microsoft family of consoles.

Players on all systems will be able to purchase the game both physically and digitally, depending on how they wish to pick up the game.

As you might imagine from a remastered rerelease, the game comes with all of the previously released DLC as well as cross-play support.

Based on some translations the game also includes some new content – six hours’ worth is the number being banded around.

We've scattered a few of the leaked images across the page, but as you can see, this appears to be much more than just a cash-in from the EA team.

It's fair to say that it actually looks like a substantial and robust remaster of Criterion Games' 10-year-old racer.

The full 'official' reveal takes place later today on Need for Speed’s website, which is currently adorned with a countdown timer that expires on October 5, 2020, at 8am PT/11am ET/4pm BST.

Stay tuned for official updates later today.
