Though Halloween might still be some way away, things are already starting to get a little spooky and it seems fans of Destiny needn't worry about feeling left out.
Recent leaks have pretty much confirmed that the annual Festival of the Lost will return for another year of haunting high jinx.
it's not clear how ambitious Bungie will be with content (especially so close to Beyond Light launching) but we'd wager there's a good chance of the Haunted Forest returning.
One thing we know is coming are a bevy of new skins and items to pick up and based on the leaks, Bungie are certainly not disappointing fans this year.
Dataminer @GinsorKR has already uncovered several promo images, with a look at some new skins coming to the game.
This includes a Dracula-themed Warlock, a Hunter dressed up as a werewolf, and a Titan in his best Frankenstein's monster garb.
These weren't the only leaks, we've got more further down, but for now, when can we expect the Festival of the Lost to return?
Destiny 2 Festival of the Lost 2020 – Start Time
Bungie has yet to announce when the Festival of the Lost will return to the Tower in Destiny. But based on previous years the event has usually had a fairly late start time. See for yourself just below:
• 2015 - October 26 to November 9
• 2016 - October 25 to November 8
• 2017 - No festival!
• 2018 - October 16 to November 6
• 2019 - October 29 to November 19
We know the event is taking place this year due to the leaks, but with Destiny 2 Beyond Light set to launch on November 10, we cant imagine Bungie wanted to dedicate too much time to it.
With that in mind, we're suspecting the festival could start early (like it did in 2018) and end before the launch of the new expansion.
We're optimistically hoping to see the event begin on Tuesday October 13, running until November 3, a week ahead of the launch of Beyond Light.
Despite an early launch, we still anticipate a good chunk of content for fans of the game to get stuck into.
Destiny 2 Festival of the Lost 2020 - Leaks
As mentioned previously we've already taken a look at some of the new skins guardians can expect to see released with the new Halloween festival.
But on top of this dataminers also uncovered a new witch-themed Ghost shell, who's riding a broomstick with a cat.
There's also a video doing the rounds of a new Exo-Stranger Halloween mask. With the illusive Exo set to return to the story for Beyond Light, it seems as good a time as ever to add this mask into the game.
It still doesn't beat the Uldren Sov mask though (in our opinion).
Hopefully, we'll see a few more leaks and perhaps some confirmed details from Bungie in the coming weeks. But for the time being, keep tuned to Gfinity's Destiny Hub for everything you need to know about the game.
