Apex Legends September Soiree event might be on ice for the time being, but it should return soon enough to bring some much needed fun to the game.
A glitch has been causing issues for players this week resulting in Respawn pulling the DUMMIES Big Day LTM from the game. But the September Soiree still has plenty of gas in the tank and will last until October 5 with a new LTM each week.
But looking ahead it seems that the devs at Respawn already have their next big update lined up with the return of Apex Legends Halloween themed event, known as 'Fight or Fright'.
Last year the creepy collection event introduced a variety of Halloween themed skins, teased the introduction of Revenant, and added a new game mode called Shadowfall. For those who don't remember, 35 solo players drop into the Kings Canyon map at night and each player who was killed turned into a shadow, who would then hunt down the remaining players.
"Recent patch data shows that Shadowfall appears to be making a return this Halloween, in a variant called "Shadow Royale". No other information other then that the Infected and Spiders that popped out the lootbins will be making a regular appearance in this mode."
So we know Fight or Fright will return, in some form anyway, but when can we expect the new haunting Halloween event to actually return? Thankfully, we've got you covered.
When Does Apex Legends Halloween Event Start?
At the time of writing neither Respawn Entertainment nor any of the official Apex Legends social accounts have given any indication as to when they could release the games Halloween event.
However, we suspect that the Apex Winter Fight or Fright Collection Event could be at least another month away from starting.
Based on last year's event, we would imagine that the start time for the event will be around the same time.
In 2019 the Fight or Fright Collection Event began on 15th October running until 5th November.
Assuming Respawn sticks to the same rough schedule we suspect this year's Halloween event could begin on Tuesday, October 13, lasting until November 3.
As noted previously, some leaks are already starting to show in the game files, so it shouldn't be long before we start to learn more about potential new skins and modes.
So stay tuned for spooky updates in the weeks to come.
