Scavengers, a new PvPvE shooter, is coming to PS4 and Xbox One, as well as PC in the near future.
Developed by Midwinter Entertainment, a team including Josh Holmes, previous studio head for 343 Industries, there's definitely some crossover with Halo 5's Warzone mode.
In Scavengers, players will be, well, scavenging for supplies and trying to stay warm in a harsh winter setting, while battling other players and a variety of AI creatures.
The team is calling the game a "strategic survival battleground", here's all we know.
Unfortunately, we don't yet have a release window for the game, although hopefully, we won't have to wait too long.
You can sign up for playtesting now, though, at the game's website here.
Scavengers promises a chance to battle horrific mutants, track enemies through snow, and try and initiate ambushes using AI wildlife, too.
Weather is dynamic, so snowstorms will rip through the environments, giving the chance to hide while also allowing enemies to plot ambushes.
Players will have their own abilities and weapons depending on their character class, as well as the opportunity to take down encampments with stealth or go all guns blazing.
Scavengers will be free-to-play when it launches, meaning it'll be worth jumping in even just to try it!
That also means it's likely to be competing for your attention with the likes of Fortnite, Apex Legends, and Dauntless.
While we know the game is coming to PS4 and Xbox One, as well as PC, the game is landing late in the current console life cycle.
Given the Xbox Series X's impressive backwards compatibility, we'd expect it to be playable there, and hopefully there will be a PS5 version, too.

The game's beta kicks off now, December 11, for players.
Those that have played the Alpha can use their existing Steam key, while 50,000 slots are opening up for new players.
