Halo Infinite is still slated to launch on Xbox One in 2021, according to 343's community manager.
Clearing up previously reported suggestions that the game is unlikely to release on Microsoft's current-gen console following difficulties getting it running on Xbox One S hardware, as well as the potential to delay the game into 2022, 343's John Junyszek responded to a tweet to assuage concerns.
Halo Infinite NOT Being Dropped From Xbox One
Check out the tweet below.
Hey Eric - we're seeing lots of fake "leaks" out there, so please don't believe everything you read. There are no plans to change our 2021 release or the devices and platforms we'll be supporting. We're building Halo Infinite to be the best it can be on each device/platform 👊— John Junyszek (@Unyshek) August 25, 2020
Previously, a Resetera user that was verified by mods suggested that the game could not only be delayed but skip current-gen hardware altogether.
