Say "Halo" to Chief next year.

Halo Infinite is still slated to launch on Xbox One in 2021, according to 343's community manager.

Clearing up previously reported suggestions that the game is unlikely to release on Microsoft's current-gen console following difficulties getting it running on Xbox One S hardware, as well as the potential to delay the game into 2022, 343's John Junyszek responded to a tweet to assuage concerns.

Previously, a Resetera user that was verified by mods suggested that the game could not only be delayed but skip current-gen hardware altogether.

The game's development has been under scrutiny recently, with Halo Infinite being delayed to 2021. A further report suggested that the delay was due to heavy outsourcing to third-party development studios, but it sounds as though the team believes it'll launch in 2021.
