Into the vault.

Destiny 2's Beyond Light expansion is due to usher in a new era for the loot-shooter/MMORPG hybrid, as it kicks off the Destiny Content Vault.

A way of cycling in and out content to ensure that the player base isn't spread too thinly, or that the game doesn't take up too much space on your hard drive, we wrote at length about the Destiny Content Vault here.

When Beyond Light launches, it'll introduce plenty of new content, but here's what will be going away for the time being.

Destiny 2: Everything Leaving In November


This will include all activities on the following planets.

  • Io
  • Titan
  • Mars
  • Mercury


  • The Pyramidion
  • The Festering Core
  • Savathun’s Song
  • Strange Terrain
  • Will of the Thousands
  • Tree of Probabilities
  • A Garden World

PVP Maps and Modes

You'll no longer be able to play the following modes:

  • Supremacy  
  • Countdown  
  • Lockdown  
  • Breakthrough  
  • Doubles  

These are the maps entering the vault:

  • Meltdown  
  • Solitude  
  • Retribution  
  • The Citadel  
  • Emperor’s Respite 
  • Equinox  
  • Eternity 
  • Firebase Echo 
  • Gambler’s Ruin  
  • Legion’s Gulch 
  • Vostok  

Gambit Maps

  • Cathedral of Scars
  • Kell’s Grave

  • Eater of Worlds

Multiple exotic quests will be leaving, and will instead be found in "a new Memorial kiosk situated among the Vault kiosks in the Tower.”
