Cold as ice

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War has had its first artwork revealed and it's a thing of beauty!

The recent easter egg teasers came to an end when the almost two-week-long hunt was solved and revealed a teaser trailer.

The teaser trailer detailed the full reveal to take place on the 26th August inside of Warzone.

Black Ops Cold War Art

Treyarch has posted the new Black Ops Cold War artwork to their social media pages.

The image is made up of various advertisements and propaganda from the Cold War era.

It features two soldiers, split down the middle. One American and one Russian, suggesting we may fight from both sides.

With the recent teasers coming to end, showcasing plenty about the Cold War era.

"Time is ticking, the danger is real" suggests that whatever the main threat is in this game it's one of the fiercest to date and could be catastrophic to the world.

Considering Black Operatives keep missions quiet and out of the public eye, we could get insight into some of the most disturbing and life-threatening scenarios that were so easily looked over in the past.

What's interesting is that the Russian side focuses largely on Space and rockets.

With Ascension being mentioned plenty throughout the Cold War speculation and a rocket being found in Bunker 10 on Verdansk, we can assume it will play a big part in the campaign.

If you look closely at the astronaut, it looks very similar to Richtofen on the Zombies map Moon - could the crazy doctor make a return?

For a Call of Duty cover, it's very vibrant and colourful, perhaps indicating the direction this Call of Duty is going in. Rather than focusing on the bleak, drab sides of war constantly, it will reflect the lifestyle of the average person at home and the political struggles across the world during this period.
