When Is Season 7 Of Apex Legends?
The release date for Apex Legends Season 7 is the 10th November - this is when the current battle pass ends.
Last season, the new updated will released at 10pm PST (17th August), 1am EST (18th August) and 6am BST (18th August).
Whether Respawn will opt to stick with this release time is unclear as it has usually opted to drop updates at 6pm BST.
Typically, Apex seasons last around 3 months and Season 6 was released on August 18th.
A new legend is synonymous with a new season and there are a number of contenders competing for the coveted position in Season 7.
A character testing document from Respawn was found with past Legends that have been released into the world of Apex.
We can see Crypto, Revenant, Loba and Rampart who have all released in chronological order.
The logical assumption is that Valk will follow - but who else could jump the gun and steal the spot away?
The "Soaring Aviator" is the likely choice for Respawn, based on the above evidence, going into Season 7.
Not only that, but new audio files were added for a number of new assets in Season 6, including Valk.

Valk seems to be the most fleshed-out legend that has yet to be released. But they can drastically change from conception to release.
Here are her potential abilities:
- Tactical - Cluster Missile: Fire a rocket that explodes multiple times.
- Passive - VTOL Jets: Hold jump to initiate VTOL Jets - allows hovering in the air.
- Ultimate - Skyward: Press once to prepare for launch. Teammates can interact with Valk to join the launch. Press again to launch into the air and skydive.
It's believed that the VTOL Jets are inspired by the Hover and VTOL Hover abilities in Titanfall 2, which allow Pilots and Titans to hover in the air, respectively.
An older datamining attempt uncovered an ability called Afterburners which, after the initial drop, allowed Valk and her team to skydive faster.
Right now it seems that Horizon will be the next legend to land in the Apex games.
In Season 6 players have to complete challenges which unlock three videos made by the Scot, you can read more about that by clicking here.
Some believe Valk, mentioned above is also Horizon.
Though a leak showing future legends shows both Horizon AND Valk on the same screen, meaning this is unlikely.
You can see what she looks like below, this screenshot was taken when watching the third video message.
In thee last video Horizon says "See ya real soon, darlins".
She goes on to say at the end of the videos, “All that data you’ve provided us will come in handy… when we face ya in the Games”.
This heavily hints she will be arriving next season but nothing is certain with Respawns history of complete u-turns in relation to legends.
Here are her speculated abilities according to Shrugtal:
- Passive - Soft Landing: Avoid fall stuns and gain some beneficial buff on landing.
- Tactical - Repulsor: Displaces / Elevates players near point of contact.
- Ultimate - Black Hole: Sucks in and damages nearby enemies.
Nova is an interesting legend because we know very little about her and even less now that Rampart has released.
A lot of speculation about this legend came from information that has now proven to be proven true with Rampart.
It was proposed that the below image was of her - which we know is not true.
SUPERNOVA: Rampart squashes hopes of Nova legend
However, there is still evidence she exists in some form as new audio files were added with the Season 6 update.
Not only that but a 'Nova Trophy System' has also been added to the game.
The ApexUncovered subreddit took notice of the original leak back in June and suggested who they think Nova could be - Loba’s long lost sister. 'Nova’ translates to “new” (female-specific) in Portuguese, which is Loba Andrade’s native language.
It would be easy to assume that the Nova legend was, in fact, a Red Herring planted by Respawn. But with new audio popping up, it seems that the legend is not done yet.

Maybe Blisk could make an appearance this season? He's seen in the Apex Legends opening cinematic.
Rampart is actually brought to the games by Blisk as an endorsement.
In the November 5th, 2019 patch a "blisk_english.txt" came that listed placeholders for his skin, card and quip cosmetics, as well as his possible abilities.
Potential abilities include:
- Tactical: Throwing Knife: Deals 20 damage and marks the target. Killing marked target rewards double credits. (This ability has been noted as temporary in the files.)
- Payday: Squad kills award credits. Spend credits on powerful supplies. You will supposedly be allowed to choose what you want and items will cost either 2, 5, or 10 credits.
- Passive: Interrogation: Executing an enemy will reveal the location of their allies for 10 seconds.
One of his abilities means that on the execution of an enemy, it will reveal their teammates' location for 10 seconds.
We know what you're thinking - Forge is dead. But is he? Why would Respawn go to so much effort to make such a great character only for Revenant to kill him off?
Design Director Jason McCord, speaking with Dot, revealed that the muscular character was indeed no longer alive: "Forge is super dead."
“Honestly, it started as a fun way to misdirect data miners who, at the time, felt like they had solved our next legend and had ruined our surprise,” McCord said.
“We actually purposefully leaked fake concept art and details of Forge’s kit in patches, so there would be a bread crumb trail by the time we announced him. It’s pretty insane. I can’t think of any other game that has gone through such hijinks.”
It seems like a lot of effort only to throw it away - perhaps this a misdirection from the devs to ensure dataminers don't go looking for Forge details in the future?
Forge's potential abilities are:
- Pull Shot: Short-range grapple that pulls enemies into you or can be used to launch yourself into the air.
- Ground Slam: Press crouch while airborne to slam into the ground below.
- K.O. Punch: Jump forward in a direction. Press crouch while airborne to slam into the ground below
- One-Two: Bullrush in a straight line. If you hit an enemy along the way, press again to do an upper-cut launching you into the air.
- On The Ropes: Enhances your melee to do more damage the lower your health is. Dealing melee damage gives you temporary overshield.
- Victory Rush: Killing a player with a melee attack restores your health and gives you a 30% speed boost for 10 seconds
It's probably unlikely we'll see him anytime soon if he does rear his head again in the future.
So what new toys await us in Season 7? It's unknown if a new weapon will even arrive as Respawn has been inconsistent in providing a new weapon every season.
Season 6 finally brought in the long-anticipated VOLT SMG, which was anticipated to arrive back in Season 4.
With the Season 6 update going live, new audio files were added for a Predator weapon.
Photo via @Shrugtal
There are some theories on what this mysterious weapon could be. Plenty of people are claiming they have already seen it in the Season 6 dev stream.
Players are also theorising that the weapon may be the bow that was spotted a few weeks before release.
Apex Legends borrows plenty of weapons and ideas from the Titanfall franchise and it wouldn't be a surprise for this weapon to be a reference to the Predator Cannon in Titanfall 2.
The Predator Cannon is a rotary cannon manufactured by Lastimosa Armory employed by the Titan Legion in Titanfall 2.
Before firing, it requires a short "spin-up" time before it fires. The weapon can be used both a short and long-range, with a considerable amount of zoom being applied when aiming down sights.
When using it in long-range mode, players will deplete their magazine twice as fast, since every shot consumes two bullets. This requires careful players to manage the use of long and short-range modes for maximum benefit.
Considering the above audio files, those listed with the terms "secondshot" could imply the above factor.
The new "shelldrops" audio may suggest that it is a shotgun rather than a rifle or automatic weapon.
It is possible that the Predator is derived from the 'Avenger', a Gatling Gun weapon cut from the original Titanfall, potentially meaning that Predator is a placeholder name.
The C.A.R. also received new audio files in Season 6.
We are a bit more informed on this weapon as it is a direct lift from Titanfall.
First discovered in November 2019, this new weapon boasts "consistent recoil" meaning it could be a great starting weapon when dropping into World's Edge.
If you're familiar with this gun from Titanfall, it's a Pilot anti-personnel fully automatic submachine gun.
Its strengths are its high rate of fire and dampened recoil - making it accurate at intermediate ranges. However, it is naturally outclassed at long ranges by rifles and will likely be inferior to the already existing R-99 (R-97 in Titanfall).
It was met with mixed reactions as players didn't particularly see where it would fit into the meta and how it would compete with existing guns.
It's tough to see this weapon implemented after Season 6 already introduced a new SMG, even if the VOLT uses energy ammunition, but it's nice to see that there's plenty still to come for the future of Apex.
How Much Will the Season 6 Battle Pass Cost?
So far, every Battle Pass has cost 950 Apex Coins, so we assume that the Season 6 Battle Pass will cost the same, which would mean purchasing 1,000 coins from the store.
However, if you bought the Season 6 Battle Pass and don't spend any of the currency that you get when levelling, you'll most likely have enough to purchase the upcoming battle pass without spending any real money.
The premium battle pass contains 4,700 Apex Coins.
If you want to get a head start on the competition, you can buy the Battle Pass Bundle for 2,800 Apex Coins which will help you skip 25 levels off the bat.
If you don't feel like spending any money, there is a free battle pass, but it will contain far fewer rewards.
Battle Pass Rewards
The new Battle Pass will include over 100 new items over 110 levels.
Players will also get a selection of free rewards just for playing Season 7 including a character skin, Apex packs and more.
New Map And Map Changes
Last season we received a big update to World's Edge - World's Edge became World's Edge Fortified.
Does it look like this is in preparation to build the rocket that could take us to Olympus, maybe in Season 7?
While lots of lore points towards a trip to Olympus, there's a new contender in the mix.
With the Season 6 update a new map called "Tropic Island" was discovered.
There's very little information on what this map is and how it will be used at this stage, but it's exciting to get a very different environment.
In February of this year, PVPX of the Cloud9 team tweeted Respawn’s producer Josh Medina asking if Season 4 was going to “bless us with solos”.
Medina hinted that there could be something coming for solo players this year, but as we're in the second half of the year it's looking less and less likely.
Recent data mines suggest that a new Arena game mode could be coming to Season 7.
You can find out all about it in this article.
On April 6th Design Director Jason McCord stated on twitter that the team was already at that time working on Season 5, 6, 7 and 8!
“We're always bringing in stuff from the Titanfall universe,” Apex game director Chad Grenier and general manager Dusty Welch said in an interview with Game Informer.
“We built an awesome world in Titanfall and want to make sure we're bringing that forward,” they explained.
“I will say this - there could be a pleasant surprise for Titanfall fans in Season 5.” We haven't seen any Titanfall content in Season 5 so far, Respawn may have pushed this back to Season 6.
And for a fun anecdote, we are literally testing content for Season 5, 6, 7 and 8 regularly. We have LOTS coming, and aren't going anywhere.— Jason McCord (@MonsterclipRSPN) April 6, 2020
Anything that doesn't arrive in the next season will likely be pushed into Season 8. Respawn is always pushing new material to the game, but with the team working remotely during the COVID-19 pandemic, they're likely going to utilise existing assets rather than making new ones.
