Jump into the mosh pit on August 7.

If you’ve got the standalone, free-to-play version of Warzone, this weekend’s your chance to try out more of what Modern Warfare has to offer. Just make sure you’ve got the season-five update for Call of Duty: Warzone installed—that goes live the morning of Wednesday, August 5—and you should be good to go.

Modern Warfare Free-Access Weekend

“Battle across five multiplayer maps, including Suldal Harbor and Petrov Oil Rig, both new this season,” Activision says in a new blog post. “The playlist will be a map mosh pit featuring a mix of deathmatch and objective modes, giving the opportunity for varying engagements and tactical play each match.”

The mosh-pit playlist will be active in Warzone from Friday, August 7, at 10 a.m. Pacific time until 10 a.m. Wednesday, August 12.

More of Season Five

A massive content update drops on August 5, bringing a new battle pass; new maps for 6v6 multiplayer, Ground War, and Gunfight; all-new modes; and of course a season’s worth of new Operators, weapons, and cosmetic rewards.
