Warzone: Border War Skin Renamed, Design Remains Unchanged

Infinity War has been shown the error of its ways.

Warzone Season 4 is here, but one of the game's cosmetic skin options has been the subject of controversy.

The "Border War" skin, which gives in-game Operator D-Day a Police-inspired look and features the description "Show them the error of their ways and make them pay with D-Day’s Border War Operator skin" has been revamped.

Suggesting a potential threat towards immigrants, the skin's appearance and description clash with the game's "Black Lives Matter" statement that strives for racial equality.

Thankfully, a patch has renamed the problematic skin and offered a new description, too.

The skin's original title and description.

The skin is now called "Home on the Range", with the description now reading “Play along with the deer and the antelope with the Home on the Range D-Day Operator skin.”

We're surprised the original title and description were signed off, but this isn't the first time that Call of Duty's inherent jingoism has come to the fore. Modern Warfare's campaign reframes the "Highway of Death" event as a Russian war crime, despite the United States being the inciting party.
