FIFA 21 is out now and anyone jumping into the game will find a wealth of Italian Icons including the likes of Roberto Baggio, Del Piero and Fabio Cannavaro.
That's just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to Italian Icons already involved in the game, but who else should EA Sports be looking to include in the future?
There's no time like the present, so we're looking at some potential new icons that could be making it into the next season of FIFA Ultimate Team!
Next up, we take a look at the Italian Icons that could make it into FIFA 21 Ultimate Team, with some recent, and some older candidates!
Antonio Di Natale - 90 ST
Top Teams: Udinese
Career Apps: 671
Career Goals: 294
Top Club Honours: 2x Serie A Top Scorer, 1x Italian Footballer of the Year
International Honours: -
The definition of a late bloomer, Antonio Di Natale’s best seasons for Udinese came towards the latter stages of his career, especially around 2010 and 2011, where he was the Serie A top goal scorer.
Only Lionel Messi (82 goals) and Cristiano Ronaldo (86 goals) scored more domestically than Di Natale’s 67 goals between 2009 and 2011, which makes him worthy of an icon card in its own right, and would be a solid inclusion in FIFA 21 Ultimate Team.

Giacinto Facchetti - 92 LB
Top Teams: Inter Milan
Career Apps: 731
Career Goals: 79
Top Club Honours: 4x Serie A, 1x Coppa Italia, 2x Intercontinental Cup, 2x Champions League
International Honours: 1x European Champion
Easily regarded as one of the best-attacking full-backs of all time, and a true one-club icon is Italian legend Giacinto Facchetti. Remembered for his sheer pace and physical traits as well as his technical qualities on the attack, Facchetti also stood out for his leadership and discipline, having only picked up 1 red card throughout his career.
Facchetti would be a top tier LB in FUT, that would compete with the likes of Roberto Carlos for the role, and is someone we’d love to see added into the game!
Francesco Totti - 92 CF
Top Teams: AS Roma
Career Apps: 891
Career Goals: 335
Top Club Honours: 1x Serie A, 2x Coppa Italia, 2x Italian Footballer of the Year
International Honours: 1x World Cup
From an Inter legend to Roma’s best-ever player, The Gladiator Francesco Totti is one of the most heavily requested players to be included as an icon in FIFA 21 Ultimate Team.
Despite playing a slightly deeper attacking midfielder or second striker role for Roma throughout the course of his career, Totti is still the 2nd highest Serie A goalscorer of all time.
With a 5* Weak Foot, a rocket of a shot and superior playmaking attributes, Totti will be an awesome card to use in FUT 21, so we really hope he’s included in FIFA 21 Ultimate Team!
Dino Zoff - 93 GK
Top Teams: Udinese, Napoli, Juventus
Career Apps: 950
Career Clean Sheets: 446
Top Club Honours: 6x Serie A, 2x Coppa Italia, 1x UEFA Cup
International Honours: 1x European Champion, 1x World Cup
The oldest ever winner of the World Cup, and the 3rd best goalkeeper of the 20th century according to the International Federation of Football History & Statistics, we have Dino Zoff.
The iconic Juventus GK also holds the international record for longest time without conceding a goal, with over 19 hours of consecutive clean sheets to his name.
A highly decorated footballer in Serie A, winning 6 titles with Juventus, Dino Zoff is one of the most deserving goalkeepers of a FIFA 21 icon card!
Giuseppe Meazza - 94 ST
Top Teams: Juventus, AC Milan, Inter Milan
Career Apps: 516
Career Goals: 309
Top Club Honours: 3x Serie A, 1x Coppa Italia, 3x Serie A Top Scorer
International Honours: 2x World Cup
Possibly one of the earliest icons that could feature in FUT, Giuseppe Meazza is highly considered as one of the best attacking players of all time, with many regarding him as Italy’s best-ever player.
A true Inter legend, scoring 253 goals in 381 appearances, winning 3 Serie A titles in the process, Meazza also led Italy to two consecutive World Cup wins in 1934 and 1938, in which he won a Golden Ball in the former.
While he may have played nearly a century ago, it’s undeniable how good Meazza was and is very worthy of being included in the FIFA 21 icon list.
