Super Smash Bros Ultimate's roster keeps growing, but if you've just started playing then you may be wondering where everybody is.
That's because the game only allows you to use the franchise's first eight characters at the start, meaning you can pick from Mario, Samus, Fox, Link, Donkey Kong, Kirby, Yoshi, or Pikachu).
Here's how to expand your roster!
Super Smash Bros Ultimate: How to unlock new characters
It's easier than you might think - you'll just need to play the game.
Jump into a Versus match, and whether you win or lose you'll be challenged by a new foe at the match's conclusion. Beat that fighter, and you'll add them to your roster!
The game has a ten-minute countdown timer between these appearances, but you can actually skip it by quitting the game and hopping back in!
It's also possible to unlock everyone just by completing Classic Mode with a character, but this can take a little longer.
Finally, don't forget that some characters are locked to DLC. If you want Piranha Plant you'll have to buy him separately, while Joker, Hero, Banjo-Kazooie, Terry Bogard and Byleth are all in Fighters Pass 1.
The second Fighters Pass kicks of with Min Min, and will add a further five characters after that.
