The Pokemon Company surprised us all at today's Pokemon event to share a revamped Pokemon Snap is coming to Nintendo Switch.
With the release of the Isle of Armor DLC, the Pokemon company threw a curveball and will be reimagining a Nintendo 64 classic 20 years later.
While many had expected a remake of an earlier game in the mainline series, such as Diamond and Pearl, few expected the Pokemon photography title to be the title being revived!
Here's everything we know so far.
What Is Pokemon Snap?
Pokemon Snap was a title for Nintendo 64 that had players trying to take pictures of Pokemon in their natural habitat.
The movement was on rails, with players able to lure critters in for better pictures and with a wealth of secrets hidden in the game.
This new title looks to be a brand new entry in the series, and it looks gorgeous.
A tweet has surfaced from @DPPt_Shitpost that has outlined some of the announcements coming at the next Pokemon Presents.
One bit of information that was found is the alleged release date for Pokemon Snap, which Nintendo plans on announcing this coming week.
According to the tweet, Pokemon Snap is going to release July 10! Sonner then everyone expected for sure.
The game will launch exclusively on Nintendo Switch.
The game can be seen in the Pokemon event stream here, at around the 5:20 mark!
It looks like the game will feature an incredible number of Pokemon, including the likes of Scorbunny from Sword and Shield.
