Valorant is finally here, and players that have been waiting to find out more about Riot's plans for esports need wonder no more.

A new post on the Valorant blog has outlined the Ignition Series, with events occurring all over the globe.

Valorant Esports Competitions Revealed

In the blog post, Whalen Rozelle and Kasra Jafroodi from Riot explained that the team is "committed to building VALORANT on the core pillars of competitive integrity, accessibility, and authenticity".

The VALORANT Ignition Series is an officially partnered program which will "spotlight a few tournaments each week, help discover talented players, and build global recognition for top VALORANT pros and teams".

"To create the Ignition Series, we’ve partnered with more than 20 esports organizations around the world to bring you VALORANT events," the blog reads. "Each organizer will use their expertise to design their own unique Ignition Series tournament—we expect to see a combination of competitive open qualifiers, show matches, and invitationals featuring top players of the game, established personalities, and aspiring amateurs."

The team assures fans that events will take place across the globe, but for now things are kicking off in EMEA and Japan from June 19 to June 21.
