Destiny 2's new Witherhoard exotic is broken in the best way, Bungie promises fix anyway

Destiny 2 Season of Arrivals is finally here, and it introduces a weapon that is killing raid bosses almost instantly.

Witherhoard is available as part of the season pass, and this exotic grenade launcher is able to melt any enemy in the game.

Destiny 2's Witherhoard is too powerful

Fans have been sharing their instant kills of bosses like Calus, and it makes for fun viewing. Check out the Cabal Emperor being destroyed below.

Essentially, the gun fires its own Taken Blight just like the ones the Taken themselves throw about. It deals damage over time which isn't supposed to stack, but it looks as though it is.

Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end, and Bungie has already committed to fixing the gun.
