Street Fighter V will get a fifth and final season as Capcom responds to the positive reception of the recent Championship Edition.
It's exciting for two reasons - one being that we get new content for the classic fighting game and could spell out Capcom's intentions to move on to the development of Street Fighter 6.
The new season will include new characters, stages and costumes - here's what we know.
Yoshinori Ono to Leave Capcom - 10th August
After almost 30 years, Yoshinori Ono will be leaving Capcom this Summer. The producer behind Street Fighter, he's been the brand manager for the franchise in recent years.
"I've been with the Street Fighter brand for a long time, experiencing good times, bad times, and even non-existent times," Ono said. "My heart is filled with appreciation to those players who've been giving warm and kind support on the brand especially little over the past decade or so as all the activities on the Street Fighter brand regained sunshine and grew its liveliness."
"And now, after serving almost 30 years at Capcom, I am leaving the company in this summer. This means that I will resign my position as the brand manager for Capcom's various titles including Street Fighter. "
"Capcom staff in the new generation will continue taking care of the Street Fighter brand and leading the World Warriors. And, I do believe that they will continue making Street Fighter extraordinary. I will look forward to seeing the new Street Fighter brand and how it's going to be expanded, as just one of the regular gamers next time around."
Summer Update/Season 5 Reveal Livestream - 1st August
At the Japan Fighting Game Publishers Roundtable, it was revealed that Street Fighter V will have a reveal livestream for its final season on the 5th August at 10am PT/6pm BST.
This will reveal the new characters for the season.
The game is also undergoing a free two-week trial, including all 40 characters (starting on 5th August).
The new season does not have a release date yet, but we expect it to arrive during the summer of 2020, based on the wording of the latest blog post.
New Characters And Character Pass
Dan, Rose, Akira and Oro have been confirmed as the new characters in Street Fighter's fifth season.
Five new characters will arrive during Season 5, however, there is no word on who they will be at this time.
A PlayStation post may detail who those 5 characters are including Rose, Makoto, Fei Long, Oro and Maki.

There are a number of non-playable characters that could be added to the roster from past Street Fighter games.
The character pass for Season 4 cost £15.99, which included 6 characters and their own battle costume - we can expect the price to be the same again.
Three new stages will be added during Season 5, again no explanation has been given about what stages these are and what they will look like.
With Summer approaching, they could be themed around all things to do with this time of the year.
We're expecting new costumes to arrive, although this wasn't specifically mentioned and what would likely arrive.
There is an ongoing Costume design contest, where two lucky winners will get their design added to the game.
