Fortnite dataminers are back at it, and they've found some revealing lines of code in the game data.

With Chapter 2 Season 3 on the horizon, a lot of new information is starting to pop up.

One Dataminer has looked deep into the game code and found some lines relating to events that will probably happen in v12.61.

These events could have catastrophic consequences for the Battle Royale game - or at least for Midas and his plans.

Warning: here be spoilers.

What Data Was Mined?

Dataminers leak the end of the world in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 2.

Dataminer FireMonkey found a bunch of event cues in the game code.

We won't write them out in their entirety, but they mention "Water Exit", "Water Impact", and traveler narratives.

FireMonkey goes on to say that this pretty much confirms an event in the final update of Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 2.

So, hold your breath for the countdown, and get ready to take the plunge into the end times!

What Does It Mean?

Both "Water Exit" and "Water Impact" suggest there's going to be a lot more water around.

Many players are speculating that this could point towards a flood of biblical proportions, something that has been met with glee.

However, the Traveler narratives suggest a popular character could be making a reappearance.

We think that the Traveler could be that mysterious British lady who spoke to agents in the trailers for Chapter 2 Season 2.

The obvious reason for the flood could be the activation of the Doomsday Device, but could it also be something instigated to stop Midas from activating his infernal machine?

We'll have to wait and see, but one thing's for sure: the end times are coming.
