Cyberpunk 2077 is coming in September, and it won't be banned in Australia – hooray.

Cyberpunk 2077, the next title from CD Projekt Red, is launching on September 17, and it looks to offer a mature, gritty RPG experience.

That grittiness and maturity, along with nudity and drug references, had many players in Australia wondering if it'll struggle for a rating from Australia's Classification Board.

In the past, the board has refused ratings for plenty of games. DayZ was banned in 2019 for including a positive depiction of marijuana, for example.

Thankfully, the particularly stringent board has awarded Cyberpunk 2077 an R18+ rating, with a warning of "high impact themes, sex, violence and references to sexual violence".
