Raid Dens are going to be a lot more challenging thanks to a new event, but you'll be able to snag yourself some decent Pokemon for it. Here's everything you need to know!

A new Max Raid event has arrived in Pokemon Sword and Shield.

In a bid to help players prepare for competitive play, the new raid Pokemon were specifically chosen, as they're more popular with regular tournaments goers.

The new raid event in Pokemon Sword and Shield runs until May 11th, 2020.

The dates were found on the official Japanese Pokemon Twitter account.

The announcement on Twitter seemed to confirm quite a few Pokemon coming to the new den raids.

You can see all of the confirmed Pokemon below:

  • Dragapult
  • Excadrill
  • Togekiss
  • Tyranitar
  • Whimsicott

Of course, this means their earlier evolution counterparts will also be showing up to test your skills:

  • Cottonee
  • Dreepy
  • Drilbur
  • Larvitar
  • Togepi
  • Rotom (in both its Heat and Wash forms)
