As part of the Throwback Challenge for Pokemon GO, players will get the opportunity to add Galarian variants to their Pokedex.

The new Pokemon Go Throwback Challenge 2020 will see the addition of 5 new Galarian versions of Pokemon; the staple variation in Pokemon Sword and Shield.

With the Throwback Challenge 2020 including the Kanto, Johto, Hoenn and Sinnoh regions, these Pokemon will appear periodically.

Here is the latest news and details about these new Galarian forms in Pokemon GO.

What Are Galarian Forms?

Galarian forms are variations on classic Pokemon, causing them to look slightly different from their original design based on the environment they live in.

With the release of Sword and Shield, the latest variation of Pokemon is 'Galarian' originating from the Galar region.

This isn't the first time Galarian forms have been added, Galarian Weezing was added months ago.
