Animal Crossing New Horizons is growing – and now offers compatibility with museums!

Animal Crossing New Horizons is here, and if you've been playing since launch you've likely been having great fun visiting other people's island and gaining inspiration for your own.

Of course, there's no better place to get inspiration than a museum, and while all are closed at present, one is taking a different approach to helping people get their art fix.

Getty Museum has unveiled its own Animal Crossing Art Generator, that you can use to import the game's artwork.

Each piece of artwork can be converted to a QR code that you can then scan into your game using the NookLink app on your real-life phone.

In fact, the same technique can be used as long as an image is compatible with the Internation Image Interoperability Framework (IIIF). A list of museums that are participating can be found here.

Which priceless pieces of art will you be plastering your island home with?
