Gamers that buy Cyberpunk 2077 for their Xbox One will receive a free version for Next-Gen.

The wait for Cyberpunk 2077 is getting more and more unbearable, considering how the initial release date was set for April.

However, there's some good news for Xbox One users out there.

CD Projekt Red has promised an Xbox Series X Smart Delivery update for owners of the Xbox One version.

This new version will let the game take advantage of the new system's improved hardware and enhanced graphics.

Just To Clarify

Now, it ought to be said that both the PS5 and Xbox Series X will be feature backwards compatibility, but they will both be revealing respective next-gen versions of the game.

Well, at least Microsoft will be.

So while Xbox One gamers will be able to use their disc in their next-gen consoles - they will also get a gloriously optimized version once it has been developed.

Absolutely free.

This was confirmed by CD Projekt's very own Michal Nowakowski, who specified that a next-gen version of Cyberpunk 2077 is only confirmed for Xbox Series X at the moment.
