Here are the best Modern Warfare Season 3 classes to use in the multiplayer and Warzone.

With Modern Warfare Season 4 here, you'll need to rank up that battle pass as fast as possible, just to keep up with everyone - to do that you'll need the BEST classes the game has to offer.

Here are 5 of the best classes you can use in Modern Warfare.

M4A1

This is probably the best all-round setup for the M4, combining versatility, power, accuracy and control.

Attachments

  • Stock M16 Grenadier (Barrel)
  • Operator Reflex Sight (Optic)
  • No Stock (Stock)
  • Merc Foregrip (Underbarrel)
  • Stippled Grip Tape (Rear Grip)

This is a setup that a few pro players are using, including Clayster and Crimsix - it's worth noting that some also use the Operator Foregrip.

Perks

  • E.O.D (Perk 1)
  • Ghost (Perk 2)
  • Spotter (Perk 3)

E.O.D will increase your resistance to explosives, Ghost will keep you hidden from pesky enemy UAVs while Spotter will allow you to see enemy equipment through walls; so you can isolate and kill enemies.

Grenades

  • Frag Grenade (Lethal)
  • Flash Grenade (Tactical)

This is down to personal preference. You can mix with other utilities to suit your style.

Field Upgrade

  • Dead Silence

Dead Silence will allow you to flank the enemy or escape a crowded area surrounded by opponents.

Killstreaks

  • Cruise Missile (5 Kills)
  •  VTOL Jet (8 Kills)
  • White Phosphorus (10 Kills)

This killstreak combination is with high-kill matches in mind. The VTOL Jet kills all enemies with ease while White Phosphorus can damage enemies all over the map, making them easy pray for you and your teammates.

Kar98k

This Kar99k class is a more traditional setup with the potential to score easy kills at long range and perhaps some at close quarters depending on how aggressive you decide to play.

Attachments

  • Sniper Scope (Optic)
  • Singuard Custom 25.1” (Barrel)
  • STVOL Precision Comb (Stock)
  • Rubberized Grip Tape (Rear Grip)
  • Focus (Perk)

The sniper scope offers clear vision of enemies at any range while adding Focus provides a much-needed reduction to flinch when you’re under fire when scoped in.

Perks

  •  Cold Blooded (Perk 1)
  •  Ghost (Perk 2)
  • Amped (Perk 3)

Cold Blooded will make you undetectable from any AI Killstreaks, Ghost will allow you to remain unseen on enemy UAVs and Amped increases your weapon swap speed which is very handy when you need your secondary weapon in the heat of battle.

Grenades

  • Frag Grenade (Lethal)
  • Stim (Tactical)

Stim is very useful when playing in a more aggressive position on the map. Popping Stim for a quick health boost to get back in the fight or avoid a potential death.

Field Upgrades

  • Stopping Power Rounds

Using Stopping Power eliminates any possible hitmarker that may occur when shooting at very long range.

Killstreaks

  • Cluster Strike (5 Kills)
  • Sentry Gun (7 Kills)
  • VTOL Jet (8 Kills)

This streak combination can be earned very quickly and it can also amass a large number of kills especially when placed well.

GRAU 5.56

This GRAU class is perfect for most scenarios that you will encounter during a game.

Attachments

  • XRK CZEN mk2 (Barrel)
  • Viper Reflex Sight (Optic)
  • XRK StrikeLite III (Stock)
  • Cronen Sniper Elite (Rear Grip)
  • Operator Foregrip (Underbarrel)

This set of attachments is perfect for any situation, providing a strong damage output, minimal levels of recoil and a crisp optic to keep your target in focus regardless of range.

Perks

  • Scavenger (Perk 1)
  • High Alert (Perk 2)
  • Shrapnel (Perk 3)

The small magazine means equipping scavenger is a sure-fire way of not running out of bullets on the battlefield.

High alert allows you to further increase your awareness on who has spotted you and shrapnel allows you to spawn in with an extra piece of lethal equipment, ideal for clearing outbuildings with grenades or defending them with some crafty claymores.

Grenades

  • Proximity Mine (Lethal)
  • Gas Grenade (Tactical)

Proxy mines can be well-hidden, giving the enemy a nasty surprise when they come into contact with one while the gas grenade disorientates and gradually deals damage to an enemy, making them a sitting duck for you and your teammates to dispatch of.

Field Upgrades

  • Deployable Cover

Perfect for blocking a doorway or providing some cover in an open area, deployable cover can be used when defending objectives or as a last line of defence before the enemy advances on your position.

Killstreaks

  • Counter UAV (4 Kills)
  • Sentry Gun (7 Kills)
  • VTOL Jet (8 Kills)

This particular streak combination is great for confusing the enemy and providing plenty of cover across various areas of the map.

MP5

This MP5 class works well for those looking to increase the weapon's damage and rush into the enemy often.

Attachments

  • FFS Light (Barrel)
  • FTAC Collapsible (Stock)
  • Stippled Grip Tape (Rear Grip)
  • 10mm Mags (Ammunition)
  • Commando Foregrip (Underbarrel)

These attachments will allow you to keep your mobility and maintain accuracy, it works best at close range meaning you will need to be willing to get close and personal. it's a class that pro player Silly adopts.

Perks

  • Double Time (Perk 1)
  • Ghost (Perk 2)
  • Tracker (Perk 3)

These perks will allow you to get around the map quickly and without being detected, as well as allowing you to track down enemies.

Grenades

  • Frag Grenade (Lethal)
  • Smoke (Tactical)

This personal preference, smoke grenades are key to allow you to quickly get across wide-open spaces.

Field Upgrade

  • Dead Silence

Dead Silence will temporarily mute your footsteps so you can get around without being heard.

Killstreaks

  • Personal Radar (3 Kills)
  • UAV (4 Kills)
  • Cluster Strike (5 Kills)

This setup and playstyle will not really earn you high killstreaks, so its best to go with low streaks. They're also streaks that will allow you to manoeuvre around the map in a safer manner.

MP7

The MP7 traditionally struggles at range, but there are lots of maps in Modern Warfare with a lot of lines of sight. Doing everything you can to extend this weapon's range is certainly worth your while.

Attachments

  • Compensator (Muzzle)
  • FSS Recon (Barrel)
  • Tac Laser (Laser)
  • FORGE TAC Stalker (Stock)
  • Granulated Grip Tape (Rear Grip)

These attachments focus on giving you the best range possible this weapon so you won't be outmatched on some of the bigger maps.

Perks

  • Scavenger (Perk 1)
  • Hardline (Perk 2)
  • Tune Up (Perk 3)

There aren't many perks that will help you with this class, so I would recommend having scavenger so you can afford to spam bullets, hardline to help you get killstreaks easier and Tune Up to allow your field upgrade to unlock more regularly.

Grenades

  • Proximity Mine (Lethal)
  • Gas Grenade (Tactical)

This will come down to preference and how you decide to play with this setup. The proximity mine will help watch your back and cut off choke points and the gas grenade will hopefully flush out stubborn enemies hiding behind cover.

Field Upgrades

  • Stopping Power Rounds

If you're fighting at distance, you'll want to give your shots the best quality of life when in a gunfight.

Killstreaks

  • UAV (4 Kills)
  • Cruise Missile (5 Kills)
  • VTOL Jet (8 Kills)

You'll hopefully see higher killstreaks with this setup allowing you to be more adventurous with your streaks, as you'll have hardline, a UAV will only cost you 3 kills.
