Resident Evil has a long history of ranking your campaign playthroughs. Here's how to get an S rank in Resident Evil 3: Remake.

Resident Evil 3 Remake is launching on April 3rd for PS4, Xbox One, and PC players and is shaping up to continue last year's excellent Resi 2 Remake's legacy.

If you're a longtime fan of the franchise, you'll no doubt be looking to earn an S-Rank.

Here's what we know so far about earning one.

We don't entirely know what the parameters will be for each rank, but we can take an educated guess based on previous games in the franchise.

The key condition you'll need to meet for an S-Rank is related to the time taken to complete the campaign.

The game will undoubtedly offer a timer for you to track playtime, and while we don't know the timings required per rank just yet, we do know that unlike Resident Evil 2 there is only one scenario – meaning you won't necessarily need to complete two mini-campaigns.

In Resident Evil 2, you could only earn an S-Rank in Standard or Hardcore modes, so choosing Assisted mode likely won't allow players to earn an S-Rank regardless of completion time.

Arguably the real challenge that separates the Nemesis from the zombies will be earning the S+ Rank.

In the Resi 2 Remake, this involved completing the game with three saves or less, but you also couldn't use any of the unlockable weapons with infinite ammo (aside from the Infinite Combat Knife).

We look forward to finding out what the conditions are for the remake of Resident Evil 3.
