Despite the PS5 vs Xbox Series X debate rages on, one thing we can agree on is that a new generation of consoles will make for an all-round better gaming experience.
The PS5 and Xbox Series X are armed with brand-new technology, there is potential for the 2020 instalment of the Call of Duty franchise to be the best in the history of the stories first-person shooter franchise.
Here are three reasons as to why next-gen consoles will make COD 2020 the very best in the series.
See what’s planned for COD 2020 by watching below!
1) New Hardware, Better Graphics
Thanks to the latest hardware of the consoles, COD 2020 is likely to be one of the best-looking and the smoothest instalment of the franchise to date.
With some developers excited for the potential to create games that will run at 120 frames-per-second and a 4K resolution as standard, the likelihood of COD 2020 being a visual masterpiece is extremely high, especially when Treyarch is at the helm.
2) Super-fast Installations
One of the main problems with recent Call of Duty titles is the length of time it takes for an update to copy onto the console.
Even the smallest of updates can take an age to copy onto the console.
Now both consoles are expected to be equipped with state-of-the-art solid-state drives, players can expect copying and installation times to be drastically reduced, allowing you to get into the battlefield quicker than ever before!
3) Potential for VR?
With both PS5 and Xbox Series X consoles boasting some serious graphical power, there are several different avenues that Call of Duty can venture down in terms of providing new experiences for the community.
If Treyarch wanted to try something different for CoD 2020, the idea of Call of Duty in virtual reality could provide a brand-new experience for players.
Being able to play the campaign in VR could be an incredible and unique experience and it would allow players to play Call of Duty in a way that has never been done before.
Perhaps multiplayer could support VR? We will have to wait and see!
