Nintendo's next big hit is almost here, but how much space will Animal Crossing: New Horizons take up on your console?

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is just weeks away, which means it won't be long before you're jetting off to your very own island (that you share with other users on your Switch!).

The game is likely to be a big-seller in 2020, and the Switch has had plenty of those over the last three years.

Keep up to date with everything Animal Crossing by watching below!

If you're looking to preorder the game from the Nintendo eShop, we've got some great news.

How Big Will Animal Crossing: New Horizons Be?

According to the Nintendo eShop listing for New Horizons, this instalment will clock in at 6391MB – less than 6.4GB.

That's an impressively small file size, something Nintendo has been very good with this generation. Mario Kart 8: Deluxe, for example, clocks in at just over 7GB, while Super Mario Maker 2 is less than 3GB.

Of course, you can always pick up a physical version to save your system memory or SD card. We've put together a handy pre-order guide here
