Steamy Stacks is a huge industrial point of interest that was added in Chapter 2 – here's what you need to know about landing there.

Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 2 is coming in just a few short days, but there's never been a better time to brush up on your map knowledge.

With that in mind, here's the best way to make the most of Steamy Stacks – an entirely new addition as of Chapter 2.

Where are the chests? What weapons will you need? Will it be busy? Whether you're a Fortnite expert or a complete newbie, we've got you covered.

Best Landing Spots

As fun as it is to be launched into the air via the huge chimneys, the real draw here are going to be the buildings themselves.

Each of the multi-levelled buildings offers plenty of loot, while there's also some to be found in the smaller buildings and substations.

Steamy Stacks can be a dream start, but can also lead to a short trip back to the lobby

Loot Locations

There's plenty of loot to be found, but if you aren't able to get into those two large buildings you'll likely be fighting a losing battle.

There are some items strewn throughout the parking lot, as well as the outlets that lead into the ocean which can be handy on busier landings.

Finding Cover

If you're going anywhere near the two main buildings here or the smokestacks, you'll want to have plenty of materials to be able to defend yourself from snipers.

In truth, there's not a great deal of cover anywhere, so we'd recommend hopping to the power lines which actually act as ziplines all the way to Retail Row.

Best Weapons

If you end up being one of the lucky ones that end up in said buildings, you'll want a decent long-range weapon like a sniper rifle. Keep an eye on the power lines to be able to catch enemies as they flee.

Shotguns are the order of the day for clearing a house, but if you get to one first then you should also keep an eye out for a trap you can use to eliminate players rushing in.

The Flip Side

As we mentioned earlier, if you don't get yourself into one of the main buildings then your best option is to retreat using the power lines – thanks to the scarcity of loot in almost every other area.
