Modern Warfare Season 5: Striker 45 Setup Guide And Best Attachments For Your Class in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2019

Season 4 of Modern Warfare is here! In this article, check out Striker 45 and what to expect when you get your hands on it.

The Striker 45 sub-machine gun arrived a while ago, but is still well worth using in Season 5 in Modern Warfare.

The Striker will be the latest addition to the sub-machine gun weapon category alongside the popular MP5 and MP7 SMGs respectively and is a good alternative in Season 3.

In this article, we take a look at what we can expect from the new weapon and if it could be a welcome addition to the metagame in Modern Warfare.

Weapon Overview

The weapon is unlocked as part of the Season 2 Battle Pass - it is free for all players.

Described as a “hard-hitting and long-range SMG”, the Striker 45 looks to counter the two main flaws of most SMGs that are already in the game – those being low damage outputs at long range and sometimes inconsistent performance at close-quarters.

The vast majority of players have noticed that the Striker heavily resembles the UMP45 SMG, a fan-favourite weapon from Modern Warfare 2 that was known for its efficiency at long-distance.

Thanks to its ability to perform at distance, the Striker could well be a go-to SMG for many players and it may even find a place in the competitive metagame.

Likely Best Attachments

Looking back at the UMP from Modern Warfare 2, a suppressor is likely to be extremely effective.

The monolithic suppressor doesn’t reduce the damage output, making it ideal for taking down enemies without alerting anymore to your location.

Combine the suppressor with a barrel for an added bonus to the damage output, further increasing its lethality at long and short-range.

Make sure you add a stock to the Striker to increase overall mobility and you are well on the way to creating an SMG that can perform in nearly any situation imaginable.

Best Classes

After some time experimenting with a range of attachment combinations, here are three loadouts that suit nearly every style of play.

1) Back to the Past

This class resembles a similar loadout that was frequently used on the UMP45 back on Modern Warfare 2.

Striker 45 Class Guide

  • Monolithic Suppressor (Muzzle)
  • 400mm Stainless Steel (Barrel)
  • G.I Mini Reflex (Optic)
  • FTAC 60 Series Rubber (Rear Grip)
  • Merc Foregrip (Underbarrel)

This attachment combination offers an element of stealth thanks to the suppressor while the barrel provides additional damage, making it very effective at the longer ranges despite having a suppressor equipped.

  • Quick Fix (Perk 1)
  • Restock (Perk 2)
  • Tune Up (Perk 3)

Taking down players immediately starts the process of health regeneration, a quicker way of getting back to full strength, restock enables your grenades to recharge every 25 seconds meaning you will never run out of utilities and tune up increases the recharge rate of your field upgrade, allowing you to access it much quicker.

  • Molotov Cocktail (Lethal)
  • Stun Grenade (Tactical)

Slow your opponent down by throwing a stun grenade first and quickly follow it up with the Molotov to guarantee the kill.

Field Upgrades

  • Trophy System

Block any incoming projectiles by deploying a trophy system in your vicinity. Protecting yourself from grenades can often be the difference between staying alive and being taken out by a pesky piece of C4.

  • Cruise Missile (5 Kills)
  • VTOL Jet (8 Kills)
  • Chopper Gunner (11 Kills)

This streak combination is relatively easy to score when you’re set up in the right positions on the map. Be aware that nearly every single enemy will be doing their bit to ruin your fun in the chopper!

2) All About Speed

The second class is focused with maximum mobility and agility in mind.

  • 150mm Stainless Steel (Barrel)
  • Ranger Foregrip (Underbarrel)
  • 45 Round Mags (Ammunition)
  • FTAC G-5 EXO (Stock)
  • Sleight of Hand (Perk)

This attachment combination offers the most mobility, fastest aim down sight (ADS) speed and a handy increase in reload speed thanks to the addition of sleight of hand into the offering.

  • Double Time (Perk 1)
  • Ghost (Perk 2)
  • Battle Hardened (Perk 3)

Double time doubles the length of tactical spring and also increases crouch movement speed by 30% making you very mobile even when crouched. Ghost makes you undetectable from any UAVs, radar drones and heartbeat sensors, making it much easier to navigate the map without an enemy being aware of your whereabouts. Battle hardened increases your resistance to flash, stun and gas grenades, allowing you to have a clearer view of any oncoming threats.

  • Frag Grenade (Lethal)
  • Smoke Grenade (Tactical)

A perfectly cooked frag grenade is very difficult to avoid when it lands at the feet of an opponent. The smoke can be used in a variety of ways but for this class, the best way is to throw it in front of a crowd of enemies and rush straight through, catching them completely off-guard, resulting in a play of epic proportions!

Field Upgrades

  • Dead Silence

Dead Silence is perfect for traversing the map totally undetected. The silent footsteps allow you to get behind enemy lines easily, often behind multiple enemies, resulting in several kills being secured in quick succession.

  • UAV (3 Kills)
  • Cluster Strike (5 Kills)
  • Wheelson (7 Kills)

With more aggressive players using this class, the killstreaks reflect the likelihood of being taken down more frequently. Despite that, these streaks can still pack a punch when used.

3) Super Sharpshooter

Aimed at the more passive players, this loadout is extremely effective at longer ranges despite being a sub-machine gun!

Striker best class

  • 300mm Poly Barrel (Barrel)
  • Aim-Op Reflex Sight (Optic)
  • FTAC Precision Fixed Stock (Stock
  • )FTAC 60 Series Polymer (Rear Grip)
  • Tactical Foregrip (Underbarrel)

  • Cold Blooded (Perk 1)
  • High Alert (Perk 2)
  • Amped (Perk 3)

Cold blooded keeps you hidden from any enemy AI killstreaks, high alert is great for increasing your overall awareness and amped increases weapon swap speed, ideal in those situations where you run out of ammo.

  • Semtex (Lethal)
  • Heartbeat Sensor (Tactical)

Semtex is handy to use when throwing it in a crowded area of the map, fully utilising its ability to stick to enemies and surfaces. The heartbeat sensor is ideal for keeping tabs of any enemies converging on your position so use it wisely!

Field Upgrades

  • Stopping Power Rounds

For passive players, dealing with an enemy at long range with an SMG can be difficult. Equip stopping power rounds for some additional firepower, making those long-distance engagements much easier to negotiate.

  • Precision Airstrike (5 Kills)
  • VTOL Jet (8 Kills
  • )Support Helo (10 Kills)

There is a lot of potential to score a very high number of kills with this combination of killstreaks. The lack of controllable streaks means you can spend more time in the action while the VTOL and the Helo do the rest.
