What Is Iron Man VR?
This new VR game for the PS4 will put you in the shoes of a retired Tony Stark.
No longer is he using his powers to make weapons, but now he is using them to fight evil.
Players will have full control of Iron Man throughout the game as you aim to defeat the main boss.
In a recent PlayStation Blog, developers revealed a number of abilities players will have access to whilst in the VR experience.
Here's what they showed us:
- Boost - Players can boost the Iron Man suit to reach faster speeds whilst flying.
- Rocket Punch - Players will have access to Rocket Punches which can be delivered in combos.
- Auxiliary Weapon - Through spending research points, players can unlock a number of powerful auxiliary weapons that each perform differently.
- Ground Pound - Allows players to descend on enemies at furious speeds.
- Unibeam - A laser that blasts directly out of Iron Man's chest doing significant damage.
The PlayStation Blog also revealed a number of exciting locations.
Developers have stated the level of detail that has gone into creating these environments.
As well as the difficulty in creating spaces that players can freely explore whilst flying.
Here's a list of the revealed locations for the game:
- S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier
- Stark Facility
The developers of the game initially thought the campaign would take around 4-5 hours to complete.
However, they revealed in their recent playtest data that it was taking almost double that.
This would make the campaign at around 8-10 hours in length.
That's an impressive length for a campaign in a VR title.

It was originally set to release February 28th, 2020.
It was then announced that the game would be delayed until the 15th May 2020.
