The Holger 26 LMG is one of two new weapons that have been added as part of season one of Modern Warfare. Here are three classes that will have you excelling with the new weapon in no time!

The Holger-26 light machine gun (LMG) was one of the new weapons added in Season 1 of Modern Warfare as part of the first season of post-launch content.

Unlocked at tier 15 of the Season 1 Battle Pass, the Holger can be configured to accommodate for all styles of play.

With a particular set of attachments equipped, the Holger heavily resembles the classic G36C Assault Rifle (AR) from previous Modern Warfare games; its reincarnation is just as good in Season 4.

In this guide, we will show you three classes along with some handy Modern Warfare tips & tricks that will help you master this new weapon in no time at all.

Class 1 - Completely Mobile

This class will offer maximum mobility and dexterity, perfect for more aggressive players.

Attachments

  • FTAC 8.98 Spitfire (Barrel)
  • APX5 Holographic Sight (Optic)
  • FSS Infantry (Stock)
  • Rubberized Grip Tape (Rear Grip)
  • Ranger Foregrip (Underbarrel)

This set of attachments increases damage output, making it lethal at closer ranges while the rubberised grip tape and ranger grip keeps recoil to a minimum to maintain high levels of accuracy.

Perks

  • Double Time (Perk 1)
  • Ghost (Perk 2)
  • Battle Hardened (Perk 3)

Thanks to the increase in tactical sprint speed, this combination of perks is ideal for rushing around the map while keeping invisible to any enemy UAVs in the air.

Grenades

  • Frag Grenade (Lethal)
  • Flash Grenade (Tactical)

As always, it is personal preference in regards to choice of lethal equipment but after several hours of gameplay, we found this particular combination the most effective to take down opponents with maximum efficiency.

Field Upgrades

  • Stopping Power Rounds

Further increase the damage output by arming some stopping power rounds into the magazine for the best possible performance at close quarters.

Killstreaks

  • Personal Radar (3 Kills)
  • Cruise Missile (5 Kills)
  • VTOL Jet (8 Kills)

Be aware of enemies in close proximity with the personal radar and it is hard to go wrong with the deadly duo of a missile and a VTOL jet to take down as many opponents as possible.

Class 2 - All-Rounder

Class number two suits all styles of play and is also effective in the majority of situations.

Attachments

  • Compensator (Muzzle)
  • Operator Reflex Sight (Optic)
  • FSS Ranger (Stock)
  • Granulated Grip Tape (Rear Grip)
  • Operator Foregrip (Underbarrel)

This combination of attachments makes the Holger easy to control at the longer ranges.

Perks

  • Scavenger (Perk 1)
  • Restock (Perk 2)
  • Amped (Perk 3)

Never run out of ammunition or utility thanks to scavenger and restock while amped increases weapon swap speed making the switch to your secondary weapon almost instantly.

Grenades

  • Proximity Mine (Lethal)
  • Snapshot Grenade (Tactical)

As opposed to the claymore, the proxy mine can be well-hidden in dimly lit areas of the map to catch out the enemy. The snapshot grenade is a great tool to get eyes on the opposition without the need for a UAV or a personal radar.

Field Upgrades

  • Trophy System

The trophy system blocks up to four enemy projectiles making it an essential tool for attacking and defending an objective.

Killstreaks

  • Counter UAV (4 Kills)
  • Sentry Gun (7 Kills)
  • White Phosphorus (10 Kills)

The unsung hero of this killstreak combination is the sentry gun. Place it in a hotly contested area of the map for plenty of kills.

Class 3 - G36C Replica

The third and final loadout turns the Holger into a classic AR.

Attachments

  • XRK Ultralight (Barrel)
  • XRK Axis (Stock)
  • Rubberized Grip Tape (Rear Grip)
  • 30 Round Mags (Ammunition)
  • Tactical Foregrip (Underbarrel)

This particular set of attachments turns this LMG into a mobile AR packed with damage.

Perks

  • E.O.D (Perk 1)
  • Hardline (Perk 2)
  • Battle Hardened (Perk 3)

This is the current meta in terms of perk selection. Increase your resistance to both lethal and tactical equipment and make killstreaks a little easier to acquire.

Grenades

  • Claymore (Lethal)
  • Stim (Tactical)

Place the claymore behind a closed door to leave the enemy an unpleasant surprise as an enemy barges their way through the door and straight into the claymore, resulting in a quick and easy kill.

Field Upgrades

  • Tactical Insertion

Save valuable seconds sprinting towards the action by placing a tac insertion to respawn much closer to the action.

Killstreaks

  • UAV (4 Kills)
  • Wheelson (7 Kills)
  • Support Helo (11 Kills)

Intended to score plenty of kills, this killstreak combination has the potential to cause absolute mayhem especially on some of the smaller maps.
