What Is The VS Gaming Championship?

The VS Rocket League circuit started in January with the first of four qualifier cups. The top four teams percup qualified for the VS Championships, which is theannual finals LAN event.The Championship is held at the VS Gaming HighPerformance Center in Rivonia, South Africa.

Dates And Venue

The tournament takes place from the 25th-27th October at the VS Gaming HighPerformance Center in Rivonia, South Africa. Each stage of the competition will take place on a different day, with stage 1 starting on the 25th and the final stage taking place on the 27th.

Format

The tournament is split into three stages, giving teams the opportunity to play as many matches as possible before they are potentially knocked out of the event:

  • Stage 1 uses a Round Robin format, where teams are divided into two groups. The top four teams per groupprogress to stage 2.
  • Stage 2 is a GSL format (Double elimination group stage), where eight teams are divided into two groups of four teams each. The top 2 per group progress to stage 3.
  • Stage 3 sees the final four teams face off in a Single Elimination bracket.
