Since writing this article, this rumour has been confirmed to be false as reported by Charlie INTEL via a direct statement from Activision.
With Black Ops 4's DLC 4 set to release in the near future, the prospects of its zombie mode may have hit a snag with Jason Blundell being fired from Treyarch. Many gamers will have their eyes firmly set on the global reveal of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, however this announcement will come as a shock to the Black Ops 4 Zombies community as Blundell was a prominent figure in it's development; it could even effect the DLC 4 release date.

Why Has Jason Blundell Left Treyarch?
Jason Blundell has been held in high regard with the Zombies community since he was made lead developer at the end of the Black Ops 2 DLC cycle. Since then, the Zombies story has really developed its own entity and has become one of the most anticipated releases when Treyarch create a new Call of Duty game; it's certainly a highlight when new DLC releases such as DLC 4.
It's unsure what it was that led to his dismissal, however Gaming INTEL theorises that a lack of campaign mode in Black Ops 4 along with the mixed reception of the new 'Chaos' storyline in Zombies has left Treyarch higher ups with little choice. It may also have been his demotion from lead developer after the launch of Black Ops 4 that led to some unrest and negatively impacted his work.
