One of the most prolific streamers and competitive players will finally be able to showcase his world-class skill on LAN.

With the inaugural Fortnite World Cup commencing this week, we will be watching some of the best players in the world compete over the weekend. Before the event begins, lets take a look at some of the top players that will be in attendance.

Kyle “Mongraal” Jackson has established himself as one of the household names not only in competitive Fortnite but Fortnite in general. The young Fortnite sensation has quickly grown a massive following on social media platforms such as Twitter where he has over 250,000 followers and his Twitch stream consistently pulls 8000-10000 concurrent viewers.

Going into the Fortnite World Cup Finals, this will be Mongraal’s first international LAN, although we are accustomed to his dominance in online functions this will be a new arena for the 14-year-old. Will we see the anger-filled Fortnite player or will we see one that dominates Neo-Tilted and shows the world why people rate him so high?

World Cup Qualifiers

The Fortnite World Cup Online Qualifiers were a rather shaky experience for Mongraal. Although he qualified for the duo portion in the first week, with his partner Dmitri “Mitr0” Van de Vrie, Mongraal faced countless misfortunes throughout the solo portions - ultimately he pushed through and qualified in the last week. Mongraal is known to easily get titled during online matches and during the qualifiers, which are solely online, it is easy to assume this was the case for some of the weeks where Mongraal placed outside of the top 100 for Sunday’s Finals.

Pushing through this adversity with all of his fellow European friends already qualified, he made one last push in the last solo week. Mustering 63 points in the last week was more than enough to punch his ticket to the Fortnite World Cup Finals. During the qualifiers, Mongraal amassed an impressive 164 points which are among the top percentile of all players; all while relying on eliminations for the majority of his points. Although Mongraal qualified at Loot Lake, he has made it publicly known that he will be landing at Neo-Tilted for the LAN Finals and more specifically the Burger Town building. This new landing spot can play into Mongraal’s favor as he plays such an aggressive playstyle, which the congested Neo-Tilted is best suited for.

Playstyle

Over the course of Mongraal’s Fortnite career, he has made a name for himself as one of the highest tempo players anyone can face, constantly in your face, trying to replace your wall or take high ground over you. The newly signed FaZe Clan member has a wide array of ways he can outlast you in a build fight and his killer aim can punish any player if they make one mistake.

Much like fellow streamer Turner “Tfue” Tenney, Mongraal is also seen the majority of time stationed up in his one by one maintaining high ground to catch any rotators off guard, or he is quickly tunneling to the zone all while analyzing the map to strike on an opposing enemy.  Mongraal’s playstyle is a classic one, one that he has perfected throughout his career and it appears he will not change it any time soon, even with the flashy flights and millions that will be watching the Fortnite World Cup Finals there has only been one Mongraal and he is here to dominate New York.

Looking Forward

Fresh off a transfer to FaZe Clan, Mongraal joins a crop of FaZe Clan Fortnite members that all have serious chances at taking home the lions share of $3,000.000, the 14-year-old has a mountain full of expectations going into the Fortnite World Cup Finals and it is unknown how he will be able to handle this pressure.

Will we see the young British Fortnite sensation overcome all the pressure and become the king of Fortnite? Or will he crumble amidst the immense pressure that he facing at such a young age?
