Fortnite Season 11 or Fortnite Chapter 2 is almost here! All the patch notes and event leaks are also here.

The new Fortnite Season 11 update, assumed to be arriving after 'The End' event finale, left players in a state of panic and confusion. It was recently leaked that Fortnite Chapter 2 is the official name for the next stage of the game, featuring new features and changes to entice fans and improve the game state. After an interesting end to Season X, players are unable to jump on to Fortnite and play the game.

Much to the displeasure of many, players were left staring at a black hole that refused to budge. During the live Fortnite event we saw the seven visitors launch through multiple rifts and they ultimately crashed into the "Zero Point" which was nestled in Loot Lake. After this, players were sucked out of the map and now everyone is stuck in a black hole loading screen which is assumed to be the downtime for Chapter 2. This sent the internet into uproar, unsure of when Fortnite Chapter 2, formerly believed to be Season 11, will begin. Rumours are circulating that it will start either start today or tomorrow.

We may see esports play an even bigger part in Season 11, with the recent news that the Fortnite Champion Series will be focusing on squads, forcing people to create teams rather than work solo. You can find Fortnite Season 11 Tips and Tricks here.

The Latest Fortnite Season 11 News

14th October

ShiinaBr confirmed that Chapter 2 will begin TODAY at 2.05pm BST!

ShiinaBR on Twitter has revealed that Chapter 2 could be with us TODAY. However, since it is a holiday/fall break at present this doesn't seem to be likely. Tuesday tends to be a regular time for Fortnite updates and it would make more sense to see this arrive then.

13th October

As of 11:00 EST, the event files have been opened by Epic Games and data miners have started to dive into them which contain all the files about the events.

It has been confirmed that the rocket that was being built at Dusty Divot will launch during the event and fly into the rift much like it did during Season 4. There has also been confirmations of the meteor that was frozen over Dusty Divot for the whole of Season X will crash into the ground.

Apple have uploaded the first Season 11 image too early to the App store, which has been reported by ShiinaBR on Twitter

THE END???

During the live Fortnite event we saw the seven visitors launch through multiple rifts and they ultimately crashed into the "Zero Point" which was nestled in Loot Lake. After this, players were sucked out of the map and now everyone is stuck in a black hole loading screen which is assumed to be the downtime for Chapter 2.

UPDATE: The image Fortnite players have been stuck on since the event was found to have an interesting title in the game files. According to @HYPEX it is titled "Chapter 2, Season 1"

Patch Notes and MAJOR CHANGES

As heavily rumored and leaked before hand, there are numerous changes coming to Season 11 or as they are also calling it; Fortnite Chapter 2. Some of the event files got leaked before hand so we now know what is in store for Fortnite fans.

BRAND NEW MAP!

Epic Games tend to add or replace locations on the map to keep things fresh and change the meta. So far no new locations have been confirmed or mentioned, but we’ll be sure to update once we hear something. There have been many teases about a brand new map coming to Fortnite for the new season, including concept designs.

New Theme? Skins?

Some of the Fortnite leakers have managed to uncover some of the leaked cosmetics coming with the new battle pass. It is assumed these files were found within the China game files as of now but these leaked cosmetics seem pretty amazing so far!

What Do We Want To See In Season 11?

We expect to see some weapons unvaulted, in particular we wish to see the Hunting Rifle, Tactical Assault Rifle and Shadow Bomb make a triumphant return.

As we've stated before, many new features and changes will appear within Fortnite Season 11. Something that is far over due is the option to disable pre-edits, as well as edits starting from the camera angle and not the pencil. Many will agree with us when we say that we wish to see the Mechs removed, as they were a common issue with the gameplay in season 10. We'd also like to see an FOV Slider added to the game.

How Can I Get Ready For Season 11?

We recommend that you consult our Season 11 Tips and Tricks guide to get yourself ready for the new season. We'll also be updating this once the new season begins so you can rack up as many wins as possible.

How Much Will It Cost?

It’s doubtful Epic will change their pricing structure so expect the same as previous seasons. You’ll be able to buy the Season 11 battle pass for 950 V-Bucks ($10) and the Battlebundle for 2800 V-Bucks ($30) to unlock the first 25 tiers. You’ll also be able to purchase individual tiers for 150 V-Bucks.
