Apex Legends Arena Mode

The Arena is coming to Apex Legends, featuring 3v3 combat where squads choose their load-outs before battling to the death with no respawns over the course of eight rounds.

The Arena will launch with five maps:

  • Party Crasher
  • Phase Runner
  • Artillery (King's Canyon)
  • Thermal Station (World's Edge)
  • Golden Gardens (Olympus)

Arena matches are expected to be fast-paced, high adrenaline battles focusing on crafting to get better gear as rounds progress.

The Bocek Bow

Apex Legends gets its first Bow with the Bocek Bow, a weapon that also introduces a new class of weapon, the Marksman.

A medium-range weapon that deals massive damage, the Bocek Bow uses arrows and will require a skilled player to use it properly.

Other weapons, including the 30-30 Repeater, will be moved to the Marksman class.

Olympus Changes

INFECTED: Something has gone wrong on Olympus

Olympus gets a fresh new look after ships from Psamathe carried parasitic plants to the map.

A new ship, the Icarus, has also docked at Olympus, changing the map's layout even more.

It will be interesting to see how this changes the meta of the map, altering rotations and changing how players interact with each other and the environment.

Valkyrie

A new Legend joins Apex Legends with ties to Titanfall 2.

Kairi "Valkyrie" Imahara is the daughter of an Apex Predator looking to avenger her father's death.

Her abilities include:

  • Passive: VTOL Jets
  • Tactical: Missile Swarm
  • Ultimate: Skyward dive
  • Class: Recon

Valk's Skyward Dive allows her to shoot up into the air, carrying squad-mates and basically redeploying to a different location on the map.

Her VTOL Jets allow her to hover briefly, using fuel that eventually replenishes on its own.

Legend Balancing

Apex Legends Fuse

FUSE: Beauty

Lifeline, Fuse, Horizon, and more are getting some tweaks to help balance the game.

Some of the largest changes are that Lifeline's Combat Revive now works on two players but does not deploy a shield.

Horizon's EGravity Life has had side-to-side acceleration reduced, making it harder for players to strafe within it.

Fuse's Knuckle Cluster now gets two charges, with a reduced cooldown of only 18 seconds.

This could majorly change the current Tier List of Apex Legends characters.
