Apex Legends' Infamous Frog Bug Is Back

Apex Legends Season 10 launched without a hitch, which long-time players will know is somewhat of a rarity. The servers held pretty well, and there were no game-breaking bugs. Of course, the L-Star is kind of broken, but that’s a balance issue rather than a bug.

With the L-Star and the Prowler already emerging as the best guns in Apex Legends Season 10, and Seer looking like he’ll fight his way towards the top of our Apex Legends tier list, there’s a lot to take in. And if you fancy heading to one of World’s Edge’s updated POIs, they’ll be pretty busy and you’ll likely find yourself getting knocked before too long.

Apex Legends' Infamous Frog Bug Is Back

It’s when you’re knocked, though, that Apex Legends Season 10’s biggest bug occurs. This is a bug that errs more on the side of funny than broken, but you’ll be lucky if you ever encounter it.

You’ll need to be downed and your opponent starts a finisher. If they cancel that finisher, then you will be granted supernatural powers. Well, not quite supernatural, but you will be able to move around as if you were a fit and healthy Legend.

You can’t sprint, but you can move at regular speed, crouch, and – this is where it gets really funny – jump around. The thing is, you’re still in the prone knocked position, so it looks more like a little hop.

It’s an understandably rare occurrence for this to happen in a match, as you’re relying on an opponent to cancel their finisher, but this example from the Firing Range show exactly what happens. Reddit user vastowen shows that Seer might have more frog inspiration than moth.

However, this isn't the first time this bug has happened - it first appeared over a year ago:

Season 10’s first patch notes may address this bug – although it’s hardly a pressing issue. In the meantime, you can hop, skip, and jump your way to victory.
