"Sitting in Queue, 10 minutes" ImperialHal furious at ranked matchmaking bug in Apex Legends

Apex Legends ranked currently has an incredibly annoying bug. When queuing for a match with a squad, all members must press 'ready' before matchmaking begins. The queue will reset immediately if anyone cancels their 'Ready' during the queue.

Unfortuantely, with a new bug, the 'Ready' button is sometimes randomly canceled, which isn't fun for anyone involved. The most affected players are the highest-ranked ones, who can expect to wait for an average of 10 minutes per occurrence. It is no surprise that Phillip 'ImperialHal' Dosen took to Twitter to express his disdain for this specific bug.

Apex Legends matchmaking bug

ImperialHal spent a lot of his time on stream waiting for matchmaking and watching his "ready" button undo. He lost his temper and pressed the button over and over, saying it was a minigame. This bug is the worst kind of minigame because it keeps players from playing the real game.

Props to the talented writer Alex Gardon of Dexerto for finding this tweet:

I love this tweet because he's so angry in the actual clip, but in the tweet, he clarifies that he loves Apex Legends. It's just so funny that Imperial Hal is tweeting to Apex Legends, "I hate this but I love YOU!"

A fix for the bug has been announced for an August patch, but we just completed September. It's a much bigger deal than Respawn is letting on. This really affects top players the most, but it's still very frustrating nonetheless.
