“We Still Have People Cheating in Major Tourneys” ImperialHal Calls Out Rampant Cheating in Apex Legends

Apex Legends seems to be plagued by cheaters once again. These are normally down below Predator rank, but Phillip 'ImperialHal' Dosen has spoken up about it again. Is there anything more that Respawn, the developer, can do?

Hackers and cheaters seem to be a problem in today's games, but there is no solution. Even Call of Duty is full of obvious cheaters who dominate the leaderboards. When we're dealing with what we're dealing with, it won't really go away.

Apex Legends Cheaters

The use of newer cheats by hackers has been a source of concern for players at the game's highest levels, including TSM's ImperialHal. He also pointed out that tournaments aren't devoid of cheaters, and it's a real shame. Here is the tweet:

Several players pointed to issues with Strike Packs, Cronos, and other undetectable add-ons. Reducing recoil and increasing firing rates are achieved by these external add-ons. Detecting these can be difficult since you're good enough to do it on your own after you play a game enough.

Despite this, Respawn does have a tangible way to stop cheating. Apex Legends Players can report others, and those who are found guilty are banned. This isn't a very good way to deal with it entirely, but for now, if anti-cheats can't stop them, then who can?
