Original Story - Apex Legends Season 9 will arrive just in time for summer!

Season 8 of Apex Legends introduced us to Fuse, the newest legend on the block as well as the slick new 30-30 repeater weapon.

While it's still early doors on what we might expect to see in the new season, there's a lot of leaks, rumours and speculation floating around.

One of the biggest attractions is that Titans, from Apex's sister world Titanfall, may finally arrive alongside the long-awaited Blisk.

Apex Legends Season 9 may also introduce some new methods for Respawn to handle cheaters.

Here's what we know about Apex Legends Season 9.

Gameplay Trailer Revealed - April 26

The latest trailer for Apex Legends Season 9 shows off some stunning new skins and the new Infested Horizon map.

Players will also be able to purchase a loadout before heading into a match in the new Arena mode.

Three victories with a two-win margin will get the win, but a 4-4 tie will lead to sudden death.

Valkyrie can fly, and carry her teammates with her, while also unleashing a rocket barrage.

Launch Trailer Revealed - April 22

The latest trailer shows off every Legend in the game so far, as well as Valkyrie and Ash, who appears to be pulling the strings.

Valk Revealed As Season 9 Legend - April 19

While Valk leaked in the run-up to Season 7, it appears she'll actually be arriving in Season 9 - alongside a new bow.

"Daughter of famed Titan Pilot Viper, Valkyrie inherited her father’s love of flight, but not his sense of duty. In a heated moment with Blisk - where he speaks to “little Viper” (Valkyrie) with respect, challenging her to be better. With Valkyrie joining the arena, keep your eyes open for more Apex Legends news this week," a press release explains.

Valkyrie's abilities are as follows:

  • Passive: Vtol Jets - Use Valkyrie's Jetpack to reposition or reach high places when scouting out foes. Jet fill will be limited but refills over time.
  • Tactical: Missle Swarm - Fire a swarm of mini-rockets that damage and disorient enemies.
  • Ultimate: Skyward Dive - Take to the skies to reposition long distances across the map with the option for squadmates to join in.

That trailer is teasing more than just Valkyrie, though.

New Legend

Despite plenty of rumours and leaks, it appears Valkyrie is arriving.

Check out her trailer below:

"Daughter of famed Titan Pilot Viper, Valkyrie inherited her father’s love of flight, but not his sense of duty. In a heated moment with Blisk - where he speaks to “little Viper” (Valkyrie) with respect, challenging her to be better. With Valkyrie joining the arena, keep your eyes open for more Apex Legends news this week."

Check out her rumoured abilities below:

Valk Abilities

  • Tactical - Cluster Missile: Fire a rocket that explodes multiple times.
  • Passive - VTOL Jets: Hold jump to initiate VTOL Jets - allows hovering in the air.
  • Ultimate - Skyward: Press once to prepare for launch. Teammates can interact with Valk to join the launch. Press again to launch into the air and skydive.

Recent rumours emerged that Blisk is arriving in Apex Legends at some point, making it likely that he will be the next Legend added to the game.

Longtime Apex Legends data miner Biast12 has shared a video of a player calling in a Titan, leading to speculation that Blisk, the villain from Titanfall 2, could be joining the Legends Roster.

While rumours have circulated before that Titans would be dropping into King's Canyon and the like, this is the closest we've had to proof.

The team at Respawn had confirmed to Eurogamer that Titans were part of the game's early prototypes, with the developer even having a fairly stripped back map to accommodate them.

The footage from Biast12 admittedly doesn't show the player climbing into the mech, so it could be that the Titan is fixed in place, or only available for a limited time - which would certainly help them feel at least somewhat balanced.

Respawn's latest Apex Legends trailer hinted at Valk finally releasing in the game, so it's possible we'll see two new Legends during Season 9, or one could be a fakeout.

Blisk Abilities

  • Pilot Kit [Passive]: Blisk can hack Survey Beacons using his Data Knife. Blisk can also wall run.
  • My Ring, My Rules [Tactical]: Blisk creates a damaging zone powered by The Arena's Ring.
  • Standby for Titanfall [Ultimate]: Blisk summons an auto-Titan to suppress an area.

How Much Will the Season 9 Battle Pass Cost?

So far, every Battle Pass has cost 950 Apex Coins, so we assume that the Season 9 Battle Pass will cost the same, which would mean purchasing 1,000 coins from the store.

However, if you bought the Season 8 Battle Pass and don't spend any of the currency that you get when levelling, you'll most likely have enough to purchase the upcoming battle pass without spending any real money.

The premium battle pass contains 4,700 Apex Coins.

If you want to get a head start on the competition, you can buy the Battle Pass Bundle for 2,800 Apex Coins which will help you skip 25 levels off the bat.

If you don't feel like spending any money, there is a free battle pass, but it will contain far fewer rewards.

Season 9 Battle Pass Rewards

Respawn is continuing with their modified Battle Pass system, granting 100 levels of rewards.

What's included in the new Battle Pass? Here's what we know so far:

'Battle through Daily and Weekly Challenges to earn unique rewards like Apex Packs, XP Boosts, and skins!'

New Map And Map Changes

Olympus arrived in Season 7, and in Season 9, it's become 'Infested'.

'An infestation has sprung loose, strangling the city with roots and natural growths,' according to the season's official website.

That suggests that the same trailer teasing Valk's release may have shown off the Infested version.
