Another Trailer was recently revealed for Season 8, Mayhem, of Apex Legends.
Many players noticed mentions of a new attachment in the description of the video.

That confirms it! We will be seeing gold mags coming to Apex Legends.
As stated above, these attachments will reload guns when they're holstered.
Some players were worrying if this feature would become overpowered.
Game designer Daniel Klein commented on the issue.
“I think some of you imagine this to be a lot faster than it is."
"There’s a good delay before a holstered weapon is reloaded, and if it turns out that delay isn’t long enough, we can always increase it.”
“This shouldn’t be usable for cheating out of a reload; this should be for switching to another weapon, using it for a bit, and then switching back to your reloaded initial weapon."
Overall it seems that the reload won't be instant so shouldn't be too strong of an addition.
Apparently, players will also get an on-screen notification letting them know their offhand weapon is reloaded, as well as a sound notification.
