The Volt is a brand new weapon hitting the Apex Legends loot pool with Season 6.
While some Titanfall fans may recognise the iconic SMG, there are a few changes for its return to combat in the Apex arena.
Here's everything you need to know:
How To Unlock The Volt

The Volt will be automatically unlocked when you update Apex Legends to Season 6.
Then, all you need to do is head to the Firing Range or find one in an Apex Legends match!

What Kind Of Weapon Is The Volt?
We'll defer this one to the words of Respawn itself: "The first energy-based SMG to see regular use in the Frontier, the Volt allows its operator to fire a salvo of energy-based ammunition, decreasing drag and making it possible to hit multiple targets within a short window."
Essentially, it's an R99 that fires Energy Ammo. And it's brutal.

Best Volt Attachments

The Volt takes Energy Ammo, and its high rate of fire means you'll go through it quickly. Really quickly. So make sure you stock up.
Other than that, grab one of the new Extended Energy Magazines, a barrel stabiliser and a stock.
You'll need a short-ranged sight too - look out for a Digital Threat, but anything is better than ironsights.
Best Volt Skins
As always, you'll want to kit out your Volt to make it look the nicest. And, as usual, the best skins are those Legendary ones. Check these out:
