The aim of Apex Legends is to survive against all the odds (the other squads and the ring), to be crowned the Apex Champions. Having a great squad at your side is one key ingredient for gaining this coveted title, and having the right weapon in your arsenal is just as important.

Table of Contents

The weapons in the game are split into several different categories. There are Marksman and Sniper Rifles for those of you who excel at ranged combat. There are Assault Rifles for inflicting maximum damage in just a few shots. Then, there are the Pistols and SMGs for those of you that like the chaos of close-quarters combat. One popular SMG is the R-99.

In this guide, we are going to show you the damage stats, attachments, and skins for the R-99 SMG.

R-99 Review

The R-99 is a great weapon to have on hand in both the Battle Royale and Arenas mode. If you pair it with an Assault Rifle or a Ranged weapon, you can become unstoppable. It's an ideal weapon for indoor firefights. It has a rapid-fire rate, meaning you can easily damage any enemies that dare to get too close without worrying about re-loading mid-fight. Also, your movement speed isn't impacted when you're looking down the sight. Therefore, it's perfect if you're planning an ambush on an unsuspecting squad. However, it does have quite a strong re-coil, so we strongly recommend attaching a Barrel Stabiliser as soon as you find one.

If you're searching for some weapons to pair with your R-99 in Apex Legends, then we have some suggestions. You can pair it with the deadly Sentinel Sniper Rifle. This weapon is dangerous at its base level, but it can become lethal if you equip the right attachments. However, if you want to pair the R-99 with an Assault Rifle, then check out the M600 Spitfire. It's hard to get your hands on, but if you manage to get it, you can turn the tide of the battle in a few shots.
